UMBRELLA UV-Protection & Light-Diffusing Cream

Daily UV exposure is the single biggest driver of pigmentation, premature lines and loss of skin clarity — and in Singapore it is year-round.

UMBRELLA is a 100% mineral sunscreen at SPF 30. It filters UV using titanium dioxide and zinc oxide only — physical filters that sit on the surface of the skin and reflect and scatter light rather than absorbing it. There are no chemical UV filters in the formula.

SPF 30 filters roughly 97% of UVB. SPF 50 filters about 98%. The gap between them is far smaller than the numbers suggest, and much smaller than the gap between a sunscreen you wear every day and one you skip because it feels heavy. That is what this formula is built around.

The light-diffusing particles scatter light across the surface, softening the look of pores and uneven tone without a heavy white cast. It behaves as much like a primer as a sunscreen, which is why people keep it on.

Because mineral filters are not absorbed into the skin, they suit reactive and sensitive skin as well as normal, dry and oily skin.

Which sunscreen to choose

• UMBRELLA SPF30 — the everyday one. Commute, office, errands, under makeup.
• CLEAN SPF50 — matte, with centella, for oily skin and sustained outdoor exposure.
• NAKED SPF50 — dewy, with hyaluronic acid, for normal and dry skin.

Owning both an everyday SPF 30 and a higher SPF 50 for real sun exposure is a more realistic system than one bottle doing everything badly.

How to use: Apply generously as the final step of your morning routine, at least 15 minutes before sun exposure. Roughly a two-finger length covers face and neck — applying too little is the most common reason a sunscreen underperforms its rating. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors.
