WATER LIFT Water Lifting Glow Cream
Water Lift Water Lifting Glow Cream
Two things happen with this cream, on completely different timescales, and it is worth knowing which is which.
Immediately: pullulan, a polysaccharide film-former, dries down to a fine flexible film that makes skin feel taut and look smoother within minutes. That is a real effect and a temporary one. It is cosmetic, it washes off, and it is the reason the cream is called what it is.
Over weeks: the actives underneath do the lasting work. Azelaic acid sits second on the ingredient list, working on pigment, redness and congestion at once. Niacinamide supports tone and barrier. Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 is a signal peptide studied for firmness, and a low level of retinol drives cell turnover.
Squalane, ectoin, panthenol and bisabolol keep a busy formula tolerable.
Important — this contains retinol
- Night use only.
- Start two or three times a week and build up over a month.
- Do not use on the same night as Flawless or the BHA+AHA Skin Perfector.
- Daily sunscreen is essential.
- Not suitable during pregnancy.
Which clarifying cream to choose
Both this and Skin Rescue are built around azelaic acid. Choose Water Lift if firmness and glow matter as much as clarity, and you can use retinol. Choose Skin Rescue if your skin is reactive, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding — it does the same clarifying work without retinol.
Pairs well with
- NAKED 100% Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 — non-negotiable alongside retinol and azelaic acid.
- LUMINIZING II — a ceramide cream for the nights off, while your skin adjusts to the retinol.
