MOISTURE MAVEN Horse Oil & Niacinamide Moisturizer
Moisture Maven Horse Oil & Niacinamide Moisturizer
Horse oil sits third on the ingredient list. It sounds odd and it is the reason this cream works: horse oil is unusually close in fatty acid profile to human sebum, particularly in palmitoleic acid, so it absorbs rather than sitting on the surface. It has been used in Japanese and Korean skincare for decades for exactly that reason.
Underneath it, a proper barrier set: ceramide NP, cholesterol and phytosphingosine, plus squalane and niacinamide for tone.
Who it suits
Dry or dehydrated skin that finds richer creams greasy. The absorbency is the point — this is a heavy-duty moisturiser that does not sit on the face.
Which moisturiser to choose
Choose this for everyday dryness with some tone work built in. Choose Luminizing II if your barrier is genuinely damaged — stinging, flaking, reacting to everything — where its three ceramides and petrolatum do more.
How to use
Morning and night, as the last step before sunscreen.
Pairs well with
- NIACINAMIDE POWER SERUM — underneath, if pores and oil are also a concern.
- NAKED 100% Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 — a dewy finish that suits drier skin over the top.
