RED TOURMALINE Skin Revival with Astaxanthin Extracts
Red Tourmaline Skin Revival
An antioxidant gel built around astaxanthin, which arrives here as Haematococcus pluvialis extract — the microalga that produces it, and the reason salmon and flamingos are pink.
Astaxanthin is among the more potent antioxidants used in skincare, and unlike many it is stable in formula. Antioxidants do unglamorous work: they mop up the free radicals generated by UV and pollution before those do their damage. Nothing dramatic happens on application — the benefit is what does not happen over years.
Niacinamide, squalane, ectoin and beta-glucan support it, with tourmaline for the name.
Who it suits
Anyone in a city and a strong-sun climate, which is everyone here. Particularly useful alongside pigment treatment, where oxidative stress is part of the problem.
How to use
Morning, under sunscreen. Antioxidants and sunscreen do different jobs and work best together — sunscreen blocks what it can, antioxidants deal with what gets through.
Pairs well with
- NAKED 100% Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 — the other half of a morning routine. This gel underneath, sunscreen over.
- PLASMABRIGHT TX-K — if pigment is the concern, antioxidant protection makes that work hold.
