The richest cream in the range. Horse oil sits second on the ingredient list, directly behind water, which puts more of it in this formula than in anything else we sell.
Horse oil earns its place because its fatty acid profile is unusually close to human sebum — high in palmitoleic acid — so it absorbs instead of sitting on the surface. It is a long-standing fixture of Japanese and Korean skincare for exactly that reason.
Alongside it: niacinamide and squalane, and three botanical extracts. Mulberry root is the one the cream is named for — long used in East Asian skincare for brightness, and a natural partner to the niacinamide already in the formula. Bilberry and açaí fruit extracts add antioxidant support, and bisabolol — the calming fraction of chamomile — settles skin that reddens easily.
So it is a rich cream that is also doing tone work overnight, which is unusual: most creams this heavy are purely occlusive.
Who it suits
Properly dry or mature skin. Skin that feels tight by evening no matter what you put on it. Also useful overnight as a recovery cream after a hard week or a long flight.
Which horse oil cream to choose
We make two. Choose Gold Mulberry for sheer richness, antioxidant support and brightness — it holds the most horse oil and suits drier, more reactive skin. Choose Moisture Maven if barrier repair is the priority, where its ceramide, cholesterol and phytosphingosine set does more.
How to use
Night, as the last step. Can be used morning and night on very dry skin.
