Meet Your Actives: A Beginner's Guide to the SKN THRPY Range
Posted on September 21 2026
The SKN THRPY range from SW1 Shop was formulated with a specific patient in mind: the person ready to take their skincare seriously, who wants to use well-studied active ingredients, and who needs clear guidance on how to do so without the confusion, or irritation, that comes from adding too many things too quickly.

This is your complete guide to the SKN THRPY skincare range in Singapore. What each product contains, what it is designed to address, and how to bring actives into your routine sensibly.
What "actives" means, and why introduction order matters
In skincare, "actives" refers to ingredients with a clinically documented effect on the skin beyond moisturising or protecting. Vitamin C brightens and defends. Niacinamide regulates oil and reduces post-inflammatory pigmentation. Retinol accelerates cell turnover and targets fine lines. AHAs and BHAs exfoliate at a chemical level.
These ingredients are not interchangeable and are not all appropriate for simultaneous daily use. Some compete at a molecular level. Some sensitise the skin when stacked too quickly. Some require acclimatisation before tolerating daily application. Introducing them gradually is not excessive caution. It is how you build tolerance without ending up with reactive, irritated skin.
The SKN THRPY range, product by product
Radiant-C MD Serum: 12% Vitamin C
A stabilised 12% L-ascorbic acid serum for daily morning use. At this concentration, vitamin C provides meaningful antioxidant protection against UV-induced free radical damage, supports collagen synthesis, and brightens uneven tone over time. Apply after cleansing, before SPF. If you are new to vitamin C, start on alternate mornings and increase to daily use once tolerated.
Suited to: dullness, uneven tone, antioxidant defence, preventive anti-ageing
Niacinamide Power Serum: Pores & Oil Control
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is a versatile workhorse in skincare: it reduces sebum production, minimises enlarged pores, fades post-inflammatory pigmentation, and supports the skin's barrier function. It is well tolerated across skin types and can be used morning or evening. A sensible starting active for most skin types.
Suited to: oily and combination skin, enlarged pores, post-acne marks, early redness, general skin balancing
CopperLuxe Elixir: High-Potency Copper Peptides
Copper peptides support collagen and elastin synthesis and assist in skin repair. The CopperLuxe Elixir is a high-potency daily-use option for patients whose primary concerns are fine lines, skin firmness, and maintaining skin quality. Use in the evening. Note: copper peptides and high-concentration vitamin C are best separated into different routines to avoid interaction.
Suited to: fine lines, skin quality maintenance, depleted or mature skin, repair support
Retinol Renew Serum: Wrinkles, Texture & Skin Renewal
Retinol accelerates cell turnover, improves skin texture, and reduces the visible appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with consistent use. It requires acclimatisation: most skin needs two to four weeks of every-other-night use before tolerating daily application. Mild flaking during acclimatisation is normal and temporary; significant or persistent redness is not, and is a signal to reduce frequency.
Suited to: fine lines, texture irregularities, skin renewal, acne-prone skin (secondary benefit)
Critical: Use in the evening only. Always follow with SPF the next morning.
Moisture Maven: Horse Oil & Niacinamide Moisturiser
Formulated with horse oil, a lipid-rich ingredient with a fatty acid profile that closely mirrors the skin's own natural sebum, alongside Niacinamide for barrier and oil-control support. Provides meaningful hydration without a heavy or occlusive feel, making it appropriate for patients using retinol or active serums who need nourishing moisture in their routine.
Suited to: dry to normal skin, barrier support, evenings when actives need a calming finish
BHA+AHA Skin Perfector: Acne & Texture Refining
A chemical exfoliant combining beta and alpha hydroxy acids. BHA (salicylic acid) penetrates into the pore to clear congestion; AHA exfoliates at the skin surface for smoother texture. Use one to three evenings per week. Do not combine on the same evening as retinol. Stacking two forms of chemical exfoliation increases irritation risk significantly.
Suited to: oily and acne-prone skin, congestion and enlarged pores, uneven texture
CLEAN 100% Mineral Sunscreen SPF50: Matte Finish
A 100% mineral SPF50 in a matte finish. Appropriate for oily and combination skin types who find most sunscreens add unwanted shine. Mineral formulation means it works on contact. In Singapore's UV environment, SPF50 daily is an essential step in any skincare routine that includes actives: actives sensitise skin to UV damage, making protection non-negotiable.
Suited to: oily and combination skin, those who prefer mineral SPF, use after Radiant-C MD in the morning
NAKED 100% Mineral Sunscreen SPF50: Dewy Finish with Hyaluronic Acid
The same broad-spectrum mineral SPF50 as CLEAN, in a dewy hydrating finish with added hyaluronic acid. Better suited to dry and normal skin types, or those who prefer a luminous SPF finish. Use after Radiant-C MD in the morning.
Suited to: dry and normal skin, those who want a dewy SPF finish, post-facial skin in need of hydration alongside protection
Results may vary.
A practical introduction guide
If you are new to actives, introduce them one at a time, at least one to two weeks apart.
Month 1: Morning: Radiant-C MD Serum + NAKED or CLEAN sunscreen. Evening: Niacinamide Power Serum + Moisture Maven.
Month 2: Add Retinol Renew Serum two evenings per week (replace Niacinamide on those evenings). Morning routine stays the same.
Month 3: Introduce BHA+AHA Skin Perfector one evening per week on a non-retinol night. Assess tolerance before increasing frequency.
Ongoing: Build toward your skin's comfortable frequency. Watch for persistent redness, significant peeling, or sensitivity as signals to reduce frequency rather than push through.
Signs to stop and reassess
If you develop persistent redness, significant flaking, or any reaction that does not resolve in a few days of reduced use, pause the active you introduced most recently and allow the skin to settle. If concerns persist, a consultation at SW1 Clinic can identify whether the issue is routine-related or clinical. For patients whose active acne requires more than homecare management, the Clarity Programme at SW1 Clinic offers a doctor-led approach. And the Blue Peptide Facial at SW1 Spa can support barrier repair and hydration rebalancing if the skin needs a reset.
